Invitation to all NATURE LOVERS
Want to come and experience communal silence with us?
We are opening the Mount of Oaks for special retreats into silence and simplicity this Spring.
For more details about the first of our retreats see below.....
Introducing the FIRST of the Mount of Oaks Silent Retreat Programmes
April 16-20th
At the Mount of Oaks we appreciate the beauty of silence
expressed as a spiritual discipline within a gentle monastic lifestyle. As such,
we seek to share this with others!!!
"We have come into this exquisite world to experience ever and ever more deeply our divine courage, freedom and light" Hafiz
Welcome to arrive on the land Wednesday 16th April - ideally before 5pm. Silence begins after the introduction dinner on Wednesday night.
Thursday 17th - Saturday 19th we will be holding a contemplative space for ritual, walking, reading, gentle breathing exercises and perhaps even some digging/planting in the garden.
Sunday 20th we will finish with a celebration!
The rhythm will be
structured around the 3 vegetarian meals in the day (mostly locally and
organically grown), with lots of time to rest, breathe and 'be' in the
beautiful nature. There will be a daily themed guided walk.
The retreat will offer participants an opportunity to relax into the simplicity of an inner dialogue with themselves and the nature and animal life around them.
Local massage therapists
will be on hand if you would like to arrange a massage. This is not included in
the cost of the retreat.
If you have NEVER experienced communal silence before - this will be
a great opportunity to give it a go in a
supported environment. Nothing to be scared of!!!
Please bring a notebook and pen, tent and camping gear, torch and natural products for washing.
