Well, we actually feel we haven´t got much of a Winter, except for the cold nights...we haven´t got "proper" rain since November...It seems that Spring has arrived in early February... we started our seedlings, kept on working in few buildings, prepared the soil for the vegetable gardens, lots of planing, planted lots of trees, started an experimental food forest and few other small things...
To be honest, I haven´t got much time to write on the blog as you may noticed... My computer only gives me 2 and a half hour of battery (in its best), and at the end of the day even that seems too much... We also started a page on facebook, so, feel welcome to check our photo gallery here . It´s much easier for me to upload pictures there and add some comments. I don´t even know if people read much blogs anymore...
As we haven´t have so much rain, our days are quite full... we do rest on Saturdays and Sundays, and we also take that time to visit some of our friends who live nearby... We consider rest as a vital part of our rhythm...It´s been me (barbara) and Emma for the last months, and it has been important for us to be here by ourselves and have time to plan well the priorities we see ahead...
We purposefully told people that we´d like to have guests only after Easter time, so we could have this time for ourselves... It was hard to have to say no to some friends, but we recognize how important it is to also give a rest for the land and ourselves... Now we´re really looking forward for this next season and excited to host again... We do love hospitality, and this has been so central to this land.
We also noticed that it´s important to discern priorities, to listen to the land´s needs, and also to engage with our neighboring friends... We´re blessed with so many interesting and beautiful people who also came to live in this part of the country...
Anyway, we´ll keep in touch...
We´re also preparing ourselves for one more Permaculture Design Course, possibly in the end of May... If you are interested, wait for further news about it...

And if you have a clear sky where you are, take some time to appreciate the stars and the planets that are visible during this month... I don´t know how often we can see Mars, Venus, Jupiter and Saturn at the same time ... It´s beautiful !!! And impressive !!!
